| This is only one example of Gods awesome grace, mercy and control. In June 2006 my oldest son, Jeff was in a terrible motorcycle accident in which he suffered a traumatic brain injury. A man that none of us, least of all my son, knew stopped at that accident scene and began to pray for my son, holding on to his boot until the ambulance doors closed & the person God placed there to be with my son was, Kenny Vaughan. Kenny and in his wife went out of their way to come to the hospital, introduce their selves, bring us all Shield of Strength and find out about Jeffs condition. At the same time my younger son, Jay was serving in Iraq. The military allowed Jay to return home to be with our family during this time since his brother was in critical condition. Jeff remained in a coma for nearly a month. Jay returned to Iraq with his shield right along with his military dog tags. We brought Jeff home by ambulance completely immobile, nonverbal, with a feeding tube and a tracheotomy &but we were home and we had Jeff and his shield hung on his bed. Our family each wore our shields daily. It was a journey for us all but I thank God everyday that I can tell you Jeff is currently in college, working, and driving again and he has far surpassed every milestone that the medical professionals could ever hoped for&& but the true physician had his own plan. Jeff is our miracle and it through the power of prayer, walking by faith and Gods awesome love that we still have him with us today&healed. Is Jeff the same&& why absolutely not, but then again neither are any of the rest of us&.we are all stronger. We are blessed to call Kenny our friend and our brother in Christ. God gives us just what we need& just when we need it! |
