To Keep The Faith You Must Have The Faith

Faith by the dictionary definition is: "Complete trust or confidence in someone or something".

One of the Bibles best definitions of faith can be found in Hebrews 11:1 which says, "Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Verse 3 tells us: "Through Faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear".

Even Jesus had His Faith tested by the devil in the forest. Jesus was tired and weary but He held fast and overcame all of the temptations (Matthew chapter 4).

We all face trials in life and some of them can rock us to the core! There are some trials that we feel we can't survive or we feel that there is no hope or relief. This is where Faith comes into play my friends! If we believe in God and trust in Him completely...He will restore us and fill us back up to stay in the fight. He will never forsake us or leave us and what an amazing promise that is! An all forgiving Father and all we have to do is open our hearts to Him and turn over our cares to Him!

I have been personally guilty of asking God for help and then jerking it back from Him..over and over again! haha It's almost comical now because after I fall on my face a few times I see the error in my ways and then re-ask Him for help all over again. haha...I fell because I asked God for 100% of help and then selfishly changed the agreement to 70/30 by trying to maintain some control. That will never work! The Lord wants all of the task once we ask Him and our job is to be faithful and BELIEVE that its handled! I have created a term for this....

ASK, PRAY, and GET OUT OF THE WAY!!!!!

As long as we walk in this world, we will have trials and struggles but acting on Gods word will see us through any situation! We just have to believe! I have a plaque hanging in my office that I read daily. It says; "Faith is not believing that God can - It's knowing that He will" This is a great daily reminder!
