How to Know Someone’s Heart--

Maybe the truth is that only God really knows someone’s heart;

How do we know our own hearts? Probably only God really knows our own hearts.

But in this life, we have a responsibility to discern other people’s hearts and our own hearts.

I used to think it was just as simple as watching what people did to discern their hearts because I thought what they did would reveal their hearts.

But I’ve learned that’s not necessarily the truth. It’s not what people do, and it’s not what we do that reveals our hearts—it’s why we do what we do that reveals the heart, and why others do what they do that reveals their heart.

So, we have to ask the question why. And we need to consider how people treat us, because they may want something from us, but how they treat everyone. And why do they treat them the way they treat them. That will reveal their hearts.

Think about it. Trust God’s Word no matter what, because His Word is truth.
