The Thin Blue Line represents the men and women in blue standing between good and evil. They protect innocent civilians from criminals, accidents, and dangerous situations. They risk their lives to protect and defend people they do not even know.

Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.

Bible Proverbs are the divinely inspired words of wisdom that illustrate morals to learn and teach about daily life under the first heaven. The word proverb translates from the Hebrew meaning to be like, parable, sometimes a dark, puzzling saying.

Proverbs 30 is often called The Wisdom of Agur or The Oracle of Agur. This psalmist was a man of humility. He deplored arrogance and as a student of theology was passionate, going above and beyond to learn about God. This Old Testament writer peppers prophetic words about Christ Jesus to underscore that He is the One and Only Son of God (Proverbs 30:4). After Jesus’ work was finished on the cross, He ascended into heaven and became the Advocate of all redeemed souls. Jesus Christ is distinct from the Father. Agur’s divine inspired words are faith in action for he was writing ahead of earthly proof. Jesus had not yet taken on human flesh. Agur and those he was writing to lived on an earth corroded by the curse from man’s sin as it is to this very day (Genesis 3). God’s Words matter. Your faith in Jesus matters. His Word is a shield to those who take refuge in Him. Jesus is the shield and defense of the redeemed.
