Where did the Flag Cross Design Originate?
Gabe Vaughn, Director of Design, and social media, at Shields of Strength, had an amazing idea to reach out on Facebook to his local community of Beaumont Texas about a design competition for a new Shields of Strength specialized men’s cross necklace. The results: Gabe received many creative ideas. At that point is when Gabe took the contestants’ words and designed the artwork for the top five qualifiers. He let the fans of Shields of Strength vote on which art drawing would win. Interestingly, there was a young, talented boy that submitted an art sketch of his own idea. His artwork became Shields of Strength’s Men’s Flag cross necklace. What was especially rewarding was that the boy was a local Beaumont, Texas resident. What is the meaning of Proverbs 30:5
Every word of God is flawless; He is a shield to those who take refuge in Him.
Proverbs 30 is often called The Wisdom of Agur or The Oracle of Agur. This psalmist was a man of humility. He deplored arrogance and as a student of theology was passionate, going above and beyond to learn about God. This Old Testament writer peppers prophetic words about Christ Jesus to underscore that He is the One and Only Son of God (Proverbs 30:4). After Jesus’ work was finished on the cross, He ascended into heaven and became the Advocate of all redeemed souls. Jesus Christ is distinct from the Father. Agur’s divine inspired words are faith in action for he was writing ahead of earthly proof. Jesus had not yet taken on human flesh. Agur and those he was writing to lived on an earth corroded by the curse from man’s sin as it is to this very day (Genesis 3). God’s Words matter. Your faith in Jesus matters.
