Attitude Controls Altitude

Attitude Controls Altitude

Happiness

I believe God rewards good attitudes and He disciplines bad attitudes. I used to always say happiness is just something you choose. I guess I could have said it much better by saying that happiness is a chosen attitude. Sometimes it's really really hard. You can't just say I choose happiness or earn it or even buy it. It's not a state of being, but something we choose. I believe happiness comes from living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude. If you believe that, you're headed for a good life.

Dignity

No one can choose happiness for you. If you are suffering choose to suffer with dignity just as Christ did. Many people are convinced their attitudes would improve if their circumstances improved and until you choose not to let your circumstances dictate your attitude you are going to suffer.

Discipline

Attitudes impact behavior, and like a good parent or teacher, God doesn't wait until we act out. He disciplines the attitude that will eventually cause us to act out. God loves you too much not to fight you when you're headed in the wrong direction.

Humility

"Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up." I love this Scripture. Sometimes all God is waiting on is an attitude change in our lives before He will bless us and give us what we're looking for.

"Your attitude, not your aptitude, will determine your altitude." Zig Ziglar
