If Your Goal Is To Be Happy, You Will Fail…To Love

Because loving doesn’t always make us happy.

Happiness is like a fruit that comes and goes with the seasons.

Love is like a root that is here to stay.

So, if my goal is to be happy, I am going to fail to love you, because sometimes loving you won’t make me happy.

If my goal is to love, I am going to love you--happy or not.

This is why so many major social media influencers will tell you your new goal should be happiness. They also tell you that you can’t care what other people think or you can’t care about other people.

Because, if you care about other people, you love them. If you love them, sometimes you have to do what doesn’t make you happy, because you are doing what is best for them.

So, don’t make happiness your goal. Make love your goal and let happiness take care of itself. It will.

1 Corinthians 13

Love is long suffering.

Think about it.

Trust God’s Word no matter what.

Keep your eyes on the horizon.
