In this Bible story, some men bring a woman to Jesus.
They tell Jesus they caught her in adultery. They are trying to trap Jesus and they tell Him that the law says they should stone her to death and they ask Jesus what He thought they should do.
Jesus says, “Let he who is without sin cast the first stone.”
Then Jesus kneels down and begins writing in the sand. When He looked up, the men were gone and He asks the woman where the men were.
She told Him, “They are gone.”
So He told her, “They don’t condemn you and neither do I. Go and sin no more.”
So, what was Jesus writing in the sand? No one knows, but I would suggest to you He was writing the sins of the men in the sand. Those men obviously weren’t too interested in being stoned themselves.
You better be careful trying to trap the truth.
What an awesome God we have!
“Where are they? Has no one condemned you?” She said, “No one, Lord.” And Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you; go, and sin no more.”
Trust God’s Word no matter what.
Keep your eyes on the horizon.
