It’s God that does the healing but He needs us at some point to move on and trust Him. Isaiah 53:5 But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace, and with his stripes we are healed.

Some say some wounds never heal. I think the only wounds that never heal are the ones we refuse to stop nursing. All wounds need nursing at first, but at some point we must let them heal. We don’t heal wounds...Jesus does if we let Him. Every wound leaves a scar, but the scars purpose is to make that place stronger. The world tells us that being loved is what heals us. It even suggests we should first love ourself. This is not the truth, and only leads to more suffering and dependence on either ourself or others. We are not even capable of healing a broken heart, and neither is someone else capable of healing us. To expect that from others is not fair to them.
