The First Thing Someone Who is Using You Will Encourage You to Do

The first thing someone who is attempting to manipulate you will encourage you to do is to follow your feelings. You are only likely to follow two things in life. You are either going to follow your feelings or you are going to follow the truth.
If someone is encouraging you to follow the truth, wherever it takes you and at all costs, they are not manipulating you. They are loving you.
If someone is trying to get you to a place or situation that the truth would never take you, they only have one option, and that is to get you to follow your feelings. So, the first thing someone who is trying to manipulate you will do is to get you to embrace your feelings.
The way they do this is with an abundance of empathy and if they are really good at it, they will stir up in you an abundance of feelings you didn’t know you had.
Follow the truth.
Think about it. Trust God’s Word no matter what, because His word is truth.
Keep your eyes on the horizon.
