Why Did Jesus Say He Didn’t Come to Bring Peace?

Because He loves you. We all know that if we love someone the truth is better for them than peace.

Sometimes the truth means we can’t have peace. Because if I am going to tell you the truth, I know I may not have peace with you for some time.

If we love peace, we will compromise the truth. In other words, we won’t do what we know is truly best for someone else because that is going to cost us  our peace.

But if we love people, we are willing to sacrifice our peace for the truth that is best for them.

Think about it. Trust God’s Word no matter what, because His Word is truth.

 Keep your eyes on the horizon.
