One Way to Know Someone Is Not Loving You, But Using You

One Way to Know Someone Is Not Loving You, But Using You

Posted by Kenny Vaughan on 21st Jul 2020

This is one way to know that someone is using you -- not loving you.

This isn’t the only way to know but it is a major red flag.

If someone is unwilling to criticize you or challenge you; to rebuke you or tell you the truth in love, that you need to change – they are not loving you.

If they are unwilling to risk their relationship with you -- not willing to risk you no longer loving them -- in order to share the truth with you and what is truly best for you: they are not loving you, they’re loving themselves

If someone is encouraging you to be envious, rude, selfish, unforgiving, envious, boastful, prideful, angry, delighting in evil and hurting others -- then, I’m sorry -- but the truth is they don’t love you. They are using you to get what they want.

They are not loving you, but, instead, they are loving themselves or some mission they wish to accomplish.

Those eight things they are encouraging you to be, are the eight things that fear is.

If someone really loves you, they will never encourage you to act in fear with fearful ways. If someone really loves you, they won’t want to see that in you.

They want to see you be patient, kind, truthful, unselfish, hoping and believing in all things, protective of others and persevering in love.

It’s not my truth but it’s the truth that saved my own life.

If this doesn’t make sense to you, read my book, “The Right Fight: How to Live a Loving Life,” There’s a link below.

Trust God’s Word no matter what.

1 Corinthians 14:4-7

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
