What are the only two choices we ever have?

What are the only two choices we ever have?

The hardest part of living a loving life can be the times we don’t know what’s right. When we have no idea what to do next, we should pray and wait. Jesus is love. The Holy Spirit is our guide and God’s Word is our compass. We must read His Word so we know what is best and right, but even then sometimes choosing right can be difficult. Making a wrong decision is not the end of our journey, and it doesn’t ensure our failure. We all make fearful and faithless decisions, and we all chose wrong sometimes even when we try our best. That’s the beauty of repentance. We take a wrong turn, we stop, repent (turn around) and get back on track. If we make thousands of fearful decisions, we may be a long way from where we should be, but we are never more than one sincere decision to repent from being headed in the right direction again. Everything turns on a dime when we repent and surrender to Jesus, to love, and to truth no matter what. Love normally cost us something right now and pays dividends for eternity. Fear normally benefits us right now and cost us until we are willing to repent. If we refuse to repent, we are only one fearful decision from being led to destruction. If we embrace repentance, no amount of fearful decisions can keep us headed the wrong direction for long. Psalm 25:4-5 ”Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.“ Psalm 90:12 “Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.”
