Is Pride A Good Thing?

The reason pride comes before a fall is because pride blinds us. When we are blinded, we stumble over things humility would have easily seen and avoided. Only a moment of pride cost me a second National Championship. I would say most of my life I was a very proud man who was secretly afraid. The last 15 years, I have come to hate pride and embrace humility and gratefulness. As a result, fear has lost its grip in my life. Because of Jesus I know have power, love, and a sound mind. For your own sake, please run from pride and to humility and gratefulness. Jesus is the source of power, love, and a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7,”For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”Proverbs 16:18,”Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.”
