Kenny Vaughan, a sports enthusiast, spent 15 years failing to win a national water-ski jumping championship. He secretly was paralyzed by fear despite others’ confidence in him. Before the 1996 tournament, he admitted his fear to his girlfriend Tammie. In support she began to write Bible verses on his ski-rope handle. As Kenny prayed over those verses, he experienced a deep change in his heart, learned to act on God’s Word, and finally won the national title in 1996.

To remember this lesson, he had a scripture engraved on a dog tag he wore under his shirt. People noticed, he shared his story and kept giving the tags away.
