How to make sure you don’t Labor in vain

Forever I struggled with this scripture....Matthew 7:22-23 ,”On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.”Then one day I stumbled on this scripture, 1 John 4:7-8, “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.” So it’s clear to see it’s not what we do, but why we do it that reveals the heart. I pray you will realize the greatest calling you have in your life is to do what you’re doing now as unto the Lord. When you take care of the little things, you will find they are actually the big things. They are the things that draw you close to God, and close to God will lead you to your purpose. In that you will be fulfilled like nothing else can fill you. It’s all Jesus. Without Him, it’s all for nothing. Be a light in the darkness. Sadly, lights are few and far between.
