Why did Jesus say He didn’t come for the well but for the sick?


I don’t think Jesus was saying some are righteous and some are not. I think He was saying He has nothing to offer the self righteous, but for the honest who are willing to own their sin, He has healing, forgiveness, and life. Love seeks truth and the truth is, I have no idea how anyone makes it without Jesus. Mark 2:17,”When Jesus heard this, He told them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor—sick people do. I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners.”
