Does love always do what others want?

Does love always do what others want?

If we really love someone, we tell them the truth as kindly as we can. Our goal is not to speak our mind or prove our point. It’s to help someone we love see the truth for their own sake. So we do all we can to communicate the truth in a way they are most likely to receive it. That’s the best we can do. After that we must trust God and pray they do as well. If someone is willing to tell you what they believe is the truth even if it offends you...they may just love you. Don’t be offended- be grateful. Those who never challenge you but only encourage you in any direction likely don’t love you at all. They love you loving them or they just don’t know. II Timothy 4:2-4, “Preach the Word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, and exhort, with complete patience and teaching. For the time is coming when people will not endure sound teaching, but having itching ears they will accumulate for themselves teachers to suit their own passions, and will turn away from listening to the truth and wander off into myths.”
