Don’t be afraid to ask
It takes courage to listen and ask simple questions. Fear always pretends to be strong, so it will risk passing over the fundamentals never realizing it’s building a house on sand. True strength is okay with not knowing everything, and asks questions so it can dig deeper and build a firm foundation.
Matthew 7:24-27 “Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and be

How to know if we have forgiven someone
Forgiving is the best thing we can do for ourself, but if we do it for ourself, it’s not forgiveness it’s selfishness. We should forgive because we are forgiven. It’s not suggesting what someone did was ok, that it didn’t hurt us, that it doesn’t still hurt us, or that it would be ok if they did it again. It’s just a decision to say, despite the hurt you caused me, I still want what is best for you. The story Jesus told of the prodigal son is a beautiful example of love and real forgiveness. Eph

How to know who you should marry
Loving to be loved is not love it’s manipulation. If someone is loving us because we love them, then they may not be loving us at all. They may be loving themselves. It’s not always malicious either. Sometimes it’s all they know, and sometimes it’s all we know. That’s why it’s so important we love Jesus, because He will teach us how to really love. If the person who loves you hates their enemies, that’s a

How to draw closer to God
Joshua 1:9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” 1 John 4:12-16 if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us. This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit. And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in the

Does love demand justice?
Justice as I understand it, is a payment equal to the damage done in an effort to restore the damaged. If someone hurts us, they can’t fix us and we can’t fix ourselves. Justice does not restore us. Loving over time is the only thing that can restore us. Demanding justice keeps us from loving over time, and only ensures we are not restored. Repentance is truly best for others...real repentance....real change. Matthew 18:23-35 “Therefore, the Kingdom of Heaven can be compared to a king who decide

If i had one hour with you and it was the last hour of my life this is what i would say....
Nothing has transformed my life, lightened my burdens, and strengthened me when facing fear like the truths I share in “The Right Fight!” It has made me a better father, son, husband, brother, businessman, athlete, friend, and neighbor. It’s the one thing that determines everything. It’s not my ideas. It’s truth -and all I’m trying to do is shed light on truths worth digging for. If you read it, please let me know your thoughts- Good or bad. I want truth at all cost. Even if it hurts. The book i

Does church get us to Heaven?
If you want the power of God in your life, then fight to live a loving life. Below are a few scriptures that lead to everything I say on Instagram. We must know what love really is! It’s not a feeling. The closest you will ever be to Jesus is when you love Him and others. John 13:34-35 ”A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” 1 Corinthians 13:1-3 “If I speak in t

What was the most powerful decision I ever made?
The greatest miracle ever is the miracle of salvation! It’s the free gift of God, lest no one boast. We can’t earn our salvation. If we could be holy enough on our own.....Jesus wouldn’t have gone to the cross on our behalf. Religion is a trap. It’s the idea that God loves us so long as we don’t sin. So it leads us to fight to be holy so Jesus will love us. That leads to either.....self-righteousness or shame. That’s not love it’s manipulation. Jesus doesn’t love us if we love Him. He loves us p

7 Signs someone may love you #2
The second sign someone may love you is that they will be kind. Love is kind, but kind is not always nice. Kindness never wants to hurt you, but more than kindness doesn’t want to hurt you, it wants what is best for you. If someone loves you, and it comes down to them telling you what is best for you or telling you what you want to hear, they will tell you what is best for you. Even if it may cost them their relationship with you. If someone is really kind they won’t just be kind to you. They wi

Why do people bully?
Bullying as we all know is an attempt to manipulate other people. It’s an effort by people to get what the bully wants without regard for other people. A bully is someone who either willingly rejects the truth or doesn’t know the truth. They are unwilling to change and won’t listen to truth that suggest they should. Either way, they don’t feel safe standing for the truth fearing it will cost them too much. So they attempt to manipulate and control others by overwhelming power, shame, or the thre
