How to know if God has a better mate for you?

How to know if God has a better mate for you?

Someone may be a better fit for us, and they may be more loving than someone else, but if we ever buy the lie we or someone else is better or more valuable than someone else, we become a part of the problem. I am not suggesting we should remain in a relationship with a person stuck on selfish. Love never pretends selfishness is ok. I am just saying stuck on selfish -or extremely loving- none of us are more valuable or better than the other. This is a fundamental truth that we must understand. If we get this one wrong, it will undermine everything else. Luke 18:19,”Why do you call Me good?” Jesus replied. “No one is good except God alone.” Luke 18:9-14,”To some who trusted in their own righteousness and viewed others with contempt, He also told this parable: Two men went up to the temple to pray. One was a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like the other men—swindlers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and pay tithes of all that I receive. But the tax collector stood at a distance, unwilling even to lift up his eyes to heaven. Instead, he beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner! I tell you, this man, rather than the Pharisee, went home justified. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
